Between Design and Code

Many people ask me whether I am a designer or a developer. For me, the answer is simple—I love solving problems. Sometimes that solution takes the form of a logo, sometimes a website, and at other times, a line of poetry.

Design has taught me what people feel. Code has taught me how to translate those feelings into reality. And writing has taught me why this work matters to me.

I believe a creator's greatest strength is not versatility, but the ability to combine different skills to create something meaningful.

"A good design is successful only when the user does not even notice the design itself—yet can accomplish the task with ease."
"When I first started web development, the biggest challenge was patiently solving small problems."
"Design without code often remains merely a concept, while code without design often becomes devoid of feeling."
"I have learned the most from those projects that didn't go as expected at first."
"Some dreams are written in code, some on canvas, and others silently within people."

Writing Tips

  1. Write every day – Write at least 100–300 words daily. Consistency is what improves a writer.
  2. Read more – Reading good writing enhances your vocabulary, sentence structure, and depth of thought.
  3. Write in simple language – Using complex words does not necessarily make for better writing. Simple, clear language resonates more with readers.
  4. Don't try to make the first draft perfect – Write first, edit later.
  5. One topic, one core message – Do not try to cram too many topics into a single piece of writing.
  6. Focus on a strong opening – The first few lines are what make the reader want to keep reading.
  7. Incorporate real-life experiences – Adding personal experiences or observations makes the writing more credible and vivid.
  8. Edit your work – After finishing the draft, read through it at least once to correct spelling and grammar, and to remove unnecessary parts.
  9. Consider your audience – Who is the writing for? Choose your language and examples accordingly.
  10. Cultivate the habit of taking notes – If a thought strikes you suddenly, write it down immediately. Good ideas don't wait.
  11. Accept criticism – Constructive feedback improves your writing.
  12. Develop your own writing style – Learn from others, but do not imitate blindly.
  13. Devote time to the title – A good title is the reader's first point of attraction.
  14. Be patient – Good writers are not made overnight. Consistent practice is the path to improvement.
  15. Write from the heart – Write about the subjects that touch you deeply. Sincerity shines through in your writing.
